FAST Blackfeet-Growing Health Program: On the Land-Survival Foods

  • FAST Blackfeet 108 2nd St NW Browning, MT, 59417 United States (map)

FAST Blackfeet's Growing Health Program introduces community tribal members to learn how to identify plants in season, learn traditional harvest methods, and learn about traditional and modern uses of the plants we identify.

This On the Land workshop will be lead by Christen Falcon who will share the knowledge she has about plants available in the East Glacier area.

Christen, "Aa'tsi soo Koomosa'ki," is an Indigenous foods diet researcher and co-owner of Backpacker's Ferry, a Blackfeet owned and operated ecotourism shuttle business based on the East side of Glacier National Park. Her work focuses on enhancing community wellness and restoring traditional food and stewardship practices.
