  • Glacier Family Foods 601 Southeast Boundary Street Browning, MT, 59417 United States (map)

What is a Grocery Store Tour?

A grocery store tour is a hands-on learning experience that takes place right in the aisles of your local grocery store. During the tour, the FAST Blackfeet nutrition education specialist will guide participants through each section of the store, sharing tips on how to:

Shop smart on a budget: Learn how to plan meals, make a shopping list, and stretch your food dollars.

Read and understand food labels: Find out what to look for on Nutrition Facts labels and ingredient lists to make healthier choices.

Compare prices and products: Discover how to spot good deals and choose the most nutritious options for your money.

Incorporate more fruits, vegetables, and traditional foods: Learn how to use seasonal and local ingredients in everyday meals.

Reduce food waste: Get practical ideas for storing and using food to make it last longer.

Tours usually last 30–45 minutes, and participants get to ask questions, share their own shopping tips, and take home helpful resources or recipes.

Participants will receive a free reusable shopping bag and a $20 Glacier Family Foods gift card.
